Wireless Connectivity Configuration Walk-through
Simply go through the steps and set your options like the pictures represent. Once you do this, you're all set for connecting in the future!. Got a Mac? Click Here!
We realize the paradox, you can only see this page while you're on the network. You can save ( File -> Save As) or print ( File -> Print) this page and all its pictures for a walkthrough while you are at a wireless hotspot. Please have your email username and password handy. If you are unsure what it is, access info.mansfield.edu/myaccount before implementing these instructions.

Step 1 : Verify Hardware
Hovering your mouse over the two little connection monitors in the systray shows the above window.
If you see this, your hardware is ready to be configured.
Double-Click "Connect to a network" to proceed

Step 2: Select the appropriate network

This window appears, to show you what networks are available.
ALL Mansfield University Sanctioned Wireless will be labeled "Mansfield". If you see another choice, please inform the helpline (x4357)
If you see a "Mansfield" network, you are within range.
Right Click "Mansfield" to proceed.

Step 3 : Finding the Properties Window

A Menu appears.
Click the "Properties" to proceed.
Don't see "Properties"? Click Here

Step 4: Network Security Information

Select 802.1x in the first drop-down menu
Select "WEP" in the second drop-down menu
Select "Protected EAP (PEAP)" in the third drop-down menu
Click the "settings" button to proceed.

Step 4 : Authentication Properties

Uncheck 'Validate server certificate"
Select 'secured password(EAP-MSCHAP v2) from the drop down.
Click the "Configure" button to proceed.

Step 5: EAP Properties

Uncheck the box, we use our Campus Services ID for logging into wireless.
1: Click "OK" ( This closes the EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties window)
2: Click "OK" ( This closes the Protected EAP Properties window)
3: Click "OK" ( This closes the Wireless Network Properties window)

Step 6: Ready to connect

This brings us all the way back to the first screen. Highlight Mansfield and
Click "Connect" to continue

Step 7: Patiently Waiting
You will see this screen for a second as it negotiates, then another screen will pop up like so:
Click "Enter/select additional log on information" to proceed.

Step 9 : Verification of Connectivity

When you enter your credentials correctly, you will arrive here. You have successfully connected to Mansfield wireless.
You probably should check the two boxes, so that the next time you are in range to connect it starts up automatically.
