Wireless Connectivity Configuration Walk-through

Step 1 : Manual Connection
If you can't see the "Properties Menu", you'll need to set up the connection manually.
Double-Click "Set up a connection or network" to proceed

Step 2: Configure the Manual Connection

This window appears, to show you what networks configuration choices are available.
Click "Manually connect to a wireless network" to proceed.

Step 3 : Entering Network Information

Enter "Mansfield" for the network name. All MU Wireless networks are labelled "Mansfield".
Select the "802.1x" Security Type.
Check the "Start this connection automatically" checkbox.
You should connect to "Mansfield" over any other connection, regardless of strength.
Click "Next" to proceed.

Step 4: Additional Connection Properties

Now, you need to change the Connection Settings.
Click "Change connection settings" arrow to proceed.

Step 4 : Network Properties

Put a check in the "Connect Automatically when this network is in range" box.
Make sure the other two boxes are unchecked.
Click the "Security" tab to proceed.

Step 5: Security Properties

Select "802.1x" in the Security type
Select "WEP" in the Encryption type.
Select "Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) in the Network Authentication Method: box.
Checking the box to Cache user information is optional.
Click the "Settings" button to proceed.

Step 6: Protected EAP Properties

Uncheck "Validate server certificate"
Select "Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)
Checking the "Enable Fast Reconnect" box is optional.
Click "Configure" to continue

Step 7: MSCHAP Properties
Uncheck "Automatically use my Windows login.....".
Click "Ok" to close this window
Click "OK" to close the Protected EAP Properties window
Click "OK" to close the Security Properties window
Click Close to close the Manually Connect to a wireless network window.

Step 8: Entering Credentials
Navigate back to the "Connect to a network screen"
Choose "Mansfield" and click "Connect" to proceed

Step 9 : Verification of Connectivity

At this point, enter your Campus Services ID and Password
Leave the "Logon Domain" blank
When you enter your credentials correctly, you will arrive here. 
You have successfully connected to Mansfield wireless.
You probably should check the two boxes, so that the next time you are in range to connect it starts up automatically.
